Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • A CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, visitor processing, and other security-related policies at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, manage badge and visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access while maintaining clear communication with staff and guests.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalating concerns through appropriate channels when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity, access issues, and security-related concerns within office, studio, and technology-focused environments.
  • Support emergency response activities by assisting with access restrictions, directing people during site events, and documenting security-related incidents and/or observations in a timely manner.
