As an Access Control Officer supporting a utilities location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, and help maintain a secure environment for personnel and visitors. You will remain visible, respond to access-related concerns, conduct routine patrols, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access requests, incidents, and site-specific procedures.
