About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Management in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a technology data center location, you will help support a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and documenting visitor activity. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology data center location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and retrieve access badges, and maintain accurate access-control logs in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating incidents through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the facility perimeter, and surrounding areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Document incidents, observations, and visitor activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
