About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Inspection in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a correctional location, you will help monitor entry points, screen people and belongings, and support security-related protocols through attentive observation and professional communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities for a correctional location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, contractors, and/or personal belongings using designated screening equipment and established post orders to help identify prohibited items and unauthorized entry attempts.
  • Monitor entry points, verify identification and authorization, and direct individuals through the check-in process in a calm, professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with a problem-solving approach, escalating concerns and documenting security-related activity according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, and surrounding perimeter locations as directed, with duties and conditions varying by post.
