As a Security Officer Entry Control in Carlisle, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor activity, and help support smooth daily operations. In this people-first role, you will provide strong communication and customer service while helping to discourage security-related incidents through a visible presence, teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, visitor processing, and/or security-related policies at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, screen authorized personnel and/or deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized access to loading docks, warehouses, offices, and other restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, distribution areas, and perimeter, with attention to access points, trailer yards, and other high-traffic locations.
  • Document security-related incidents, access activities, and/or policy violations, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
