As a Security Officer Entry Control in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site procedures.
  • Support access control for employees, contractors, and delivery personnel, including screening, badging, and/or maintaining visitor and vehicle logs as required by the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, paying attention to restricted areas, shipping and receiving activity, and other security-related concerns common to a food and beverage environment.
