As an Access Control Officer at a financial institution location, you will help manage badge access, welcome employees and visitors, and support a professional entry experience. You will complete routine patrols and inspections, monitor activity in assigned areas, and document security-related observations while communicating clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, identification checks, and entry authorization requirements at a financial services location.
  • Monitor and document entry and exit activity, issue and collect temporary credentials as directed, and maintain access logs and/or visitor records in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities and notifying Allied Universal supervision and site contacts as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, restricted areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Perform routine security-related checks of doors, gates, alarms, and surveillance systems where assigned, and report maintenance concerns and policy violations through established communication channels.
