As a Security Officer Entry Control in Grand Rapids, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology and industrial automation location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue and collect visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters as directed.
• Monitor security-related systems, including cameras, alarms, and access-control equipment, and document observations, incidents, and required actions in clear reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, office areas, production or warehouse spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter, reporting conditions that may require attention.
