About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Control in Desert Hot Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying access credentials, monitoring alarms, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and employees, and support a caring, agile, reliable, innovative team that delivers with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate access and visitor records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, unauthorized-entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
  • Communicate clearly with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership while documenting incidents, observations, and actions taken.
