As a Security Officer Entry Control in Owensville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a critical utilities location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Your visible presence and professional communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting site operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facilities, business areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report security-related concerns.
  • Support compliance with site access requirements for restricted areas, including coordination with authorized personnel and adherence to established security-related protocols.
