As an Allied Universal Officer at an automotive location, you will manage access control at entry points, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and support visitor and vehicle check-in. You will monitor activity and alarms, document incidents, and coordinate with site teams to help reduce security-related issues. Bring strong communication and customer service while living our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, acting with integrity and teamwork every shift.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entrances and/or gates by checking identification, issuing temporary badges, managing visitor sign-in logs and directing traffic to approved areas.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras and/or access control systems and report unusual activity according to post orders to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and notifying site contacts and/or public services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas and perimeter points, reporting maintenance issues, hazards and/or policy violations through the proper channels.
