As a Security Officer Entry Access in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor site access, screen people and materials, and support smooth daily operations. This role blends customer service, communication, and attention to detail while helping to identify security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, security-related policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen people, packages, bags, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations and/or unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or shipping documentation as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted operational areas.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting operational concerns, screening-related issues, and/or policy violations.
