About The Position

As a Security Officer Entrance Monitor in Kansas City, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and/or visitor management protocols at a chemical manufacturing location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain access logs, and/or help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas in accordance with post orders and security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and following emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and/or designated access points, with attention to security-related concerns involving vehicles, deliveries, and restricted operational areas.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or hazards related to access control operations, and document incidents clearly and professionally according to Allied Universal standards.
