About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entrance Checkpoint in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control and facility operations. This driving position offers the opportunity to deliver outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and use technology to document activities while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, production support spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
  • Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized individuals according to site procedures.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
