About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Specialist in Romeoville, Illinois, at $19.04 per hour. The role is based at an assigned logistics and distribution site and includes a designated weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment. The scheduled shifts are Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. In addition to those fixed shifts, employees may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and adjust hours when needed.

The role provides customer service while carrying out site-specific screening, security, and emergency response procedures. The position involves screening people and belongings, monitoring access and facility areas, responding to incidents, conducting patrols, and completing reports.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, and belongings according to established site procedures; identify and report prohibited items, irregularities, or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, shipping and receiving areas, and screening equipment to deter unauthorized entry and support orderly movement through the facility.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, and perimeter; document observations and complete required activity or incident reports.
