About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Mobile Response Driver in China, Michigan. The position provides a consistent assigned-site shift and the option to pick up additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The assigned weekly shift requires a six-month commitment. Employees may build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed schedule is Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay rate is $16.40 per hour.

The officer will provide customer service at a utility services location and carry out security procedures and site-specific policies. Duties include patrolling facility grounds and buildings, monitoring access, responding to incidents and alarms, and maintaining accurate reports and activity logs. Branch Flex employees must be available for varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as last-minute scheduling.

Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening, consistent with applicable laws. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law. Driving positions require a valid driver’s license in accordance with company policy.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid license is required for driving positions.
• Availability for varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, as a Branch Flex employee.
• Availability for last-minute shift scheduling as a Branch Flex employee.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment, if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors at a utility services location while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility grounds, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related matters.
