As a Security Officer Hospital Behavioral Response in Thornton, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide courteous customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
  • Be able to restrain individuals, as needed.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with directions and reporting access-related concerns.
  • Document patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.
