As a Security Officer Hospital Security Patrol in Aventura, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. This is a Part-Time Security Officer role where you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will support a caring environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable approach while helping staff, patients, and visitors throughout the facility.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes morgue-related areas.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general information, and support orderly movement throughout the location in alignment with site procedures.
  • Assist with incident response, de-escalation support, and communication during medical, fire, and/or facility-related events according to post orders and client guidelines.
