Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
Be able to work in a hospital setting that includes a morgue.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and public areas, support visitor screening expectations, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
Document incidents, patrol activity, and daily observations in required reports, logs, and/or electronic systems with clear and timely updates.
