About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Emergency Preparedness in Waltham, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a healthcare and life sciences location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted or controlled areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
