As a Security Officer Driver Emergency Preparedness in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, and respond to alarms and incidents. This is a driving position. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • over 21 years of age.
  • possesses a valid driver’s license, complying with the AU Driver Policy requirements.
  • hands-on experience with access control systems and badge management.
  • familiar with alarm panel operations, ensuring safety and security protocols are followed.
  • comfortable using computers and tablets, which will facilitate efficient task management.
  • strong background in customer service, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • capable of lifting more than 20 lbs, meeting the physical demands of the role.
  • experience in loss prevention strategies, contributing to the overall security of the workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unauthorized access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, access points, production-adjacent areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access control activity, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
  • Communicate observations, hazards, and security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with established procedures.
