About The Position

As a Security Officer Emergency Patrol Driver in Menlo Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • An EMT certification is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government research location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and/or delivery activity in accordance with site policies for a restricted government location.
  • Support emergency protocols, evacuation procedures, and incident reporting requirements while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail in a dynamic patrol environment.
