As a Security Officer Emergency Medical Driver in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • EMT certification is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123)Candidates must possess a valid driver's license that complies with the Allied Universal Driver Policy. This includes adherence to all relevant traffic laws and regulations.
  • Valid Driver's License - In Job State (C124)Candidates must also hold a valid driver's license issued in the state where the job will be performed. This ensures compliance with state-specific driving regulations and requirements.
  • EMT Certification (C127)Candidates applying for positions that require emergency medical response must possess a valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification. This certification must be current and recognized by the relevant state or national authority.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing and industrial areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor and report security-related concerns, hazardous conditions, equipment issues, and unusual activity to appropriate site contacts.
  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, and following established entry and exit procedures.
