About The Position

As a Security Officer Educational Facility Patrol Officer in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with school administrators and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with entry procedures, and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts.
• Support school schedules and daily operations by maintaining a visible presence during arrival, dismissal, class changes, and special events while following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
