As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer at a public port facility, you will conduct routine driving and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and report observations. You will support access awareness, assist visitors and personnel, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and port personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, access points, waterfront areas, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas by checking credentials, observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and documenting authorized entry and exit activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
  • Maintain detailed activity logs and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
