About The Position

As a Security Officer Driving Role Unarmed Patrol in Melville, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a driving patrol officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support daily operations through outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and support site policies related to deliveries, contractor access, and restricted areas within the location.
• Observe facility operations for hazards, equipment issues, and/or policy violations, and communicate detailed, timely information to help support a secure working environment.
