Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a government transit location, where you will patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support riders and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assisting with crowd management, directing foot traffic, and addressing suspicious behavior in accordance with post instructions.
  • Support daily operations by communicating with site personnel and public agency representatives, completing routine reports, and following Allied Universal protocols for incident response and escalation.
