As a Security Officer Access Specialist in Letart, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic utilities location where you will help monitor access points, verify credentials, and support badge and visitor processing as part of an access control post. You will remain visible, perform routine patrols, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture, you will play an important role in supporting daily operations and security-related priorities.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License with at least 1 year of driving experience
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vehicles, helping to confirm credentials, authorizations, and visitor processing requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, and perimeter areas, helping to identify unusual activity, access issues, and/or potential hazards within the location.
  • Support daily operations by maintaining accurate access logs, communicating clearly with site personnel and visitors, and following post orders related to restricted areas and controlled access points.
