As a Security Officer Driver - Full Time in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with DPSS/DHS COLA requirements.
  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, monitoring entry and exit points, and supporting access control activities at a government location.
  • Verify identification, screen visitors, staff, and contractors, and maintain accurate access logs and required documentation for authorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related matters according to site procedures.
  • Monitor doors, gates, control panels, and restricted areas to help limit unauthorized access and support the orderly movement of people throughout the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, remaining aware of changing conditions and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and unusual activity.
