As a Security Officer Driver Rover in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, inmate movement concerns, visitor issues, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and facility protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, check credentials and/or permissions, and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and/or observations, and support communication with site contacts, staff, and first responders as needed.
