About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Operations in Lafayette, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, support access points, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner and report details according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting and reporting conditions that could impact operations or personnel.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor and/or contractor entry requirements, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Support order at the location by communicating with site contacts, documenting daily activities, and assisting with traffic, deliveries, and/or other security-related post duties as assigned.
