Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a residential apartment location, where you will conduct routine driving and walking patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support residents and staff with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while contributing to a reliable and welcoming community environment.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, building exteriors, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or lease policy violations by monitoring the property, checking access points, and addressing concerns through observation and reporting.
  • Support access control and visitor-related processes by verifying permitted entry, providing directions, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or property condition issues that may affect residents or operations.
