About The Position

As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol in North Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and primarily operate a vehicle to support security-related operations. You will maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, communicate professionally with staff and visitors, and use computer or tablet tools as needed. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to healthcare facility personnel, visitors, patients, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
