About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Unit in Zeeland, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production-adjacent areas, parking areas, entry points, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and receiving areas, verify approved access for employees and/or authorized visitors, and assist with vehicle and foot traffic flow as directed by site procedures.
  • Support facility operations by observing for hazards, spills, unsecured doors, and/or equipment issues, then communicating findings through appropriate reporting channels for follow-up.
