Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to security-related incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and maintain a professional presence in patient care and public areas.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate observations, concerns, and/or unusual activity to appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
