As a Security Officer College Campus Patrol Driver in Lancaster, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as college campuses, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy college campus, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will deliver outstanding customer service and communication while supporting daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and other security-related issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas while verifying authorized access, documenting daily activity, and completing incident reports in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Support order at the location by providing directions, answering questions, and helping to address disturbances, policy violations, and/or other public-facing concerns with professionalism and respect.
