As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Agent in Carleton, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will also deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile team that values reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and sharing information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Support daily operations by providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with routine security-related requests while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
