About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Entry Management in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and help support a smooth flow of visitors, employees, and deliveries. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by following site-specific access control procedures, screening entry and exit activity, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor gates, doors, badges, credentials, and visitor registrations to help control access to restricted areas and report suspicious or unauthorized activity to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting security-related concerns and unusual conditions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and access points, noting hazards, equipment issues, and policy violations common to an industrial location.
  • Support vehicle and delivery access procedures by checking identification, maintaining required logs, and communicating clearly with employees, contractors, and/or visitors regarding site rules.
