About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Entry Control in River Rouge, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as a driving access control professional at a utilities location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support daily security-related operations. Requirements

An EMT certification is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access control points by verifying credentials, processing visitors, contractors, and deliveries, and maintaining required entry and exit documentation.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report conditions to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including exterior areas, gates, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity by observing site conditions, communicating clearly with staff and visitors, and following established post orders.
