About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Entrance Screening in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Our Access Control Officers at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location help monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support smooth site access for employees, visitors, and drivers. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, with opportunities to perform routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential verification, and other security-related policies.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for the location, help to deter unauthorized access, and document visitor, vehicle, and/or delivery activity in accordance with post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, gate areas, trailer yards, dock doors, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by observing inbound and outbound traffic, verifying authorized movement of people and property, and reporting unusual activity or security-related concerns.
