As a Security Officer Driver Credential Verification in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Security Professional at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, support badge and visitor processes, and provide professional customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter incidents while supporting a secure environment. Requirements

  • Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, process areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access control activities, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
  • Communicate observations, hazards, and security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
