As a Security Officer Driver Checkpoint in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location as an Access Control Officer in a driving post. You will monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support a professional, welcoming experience while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site access requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and security-related issues by maintaining a visible presence, observing site activity, and communicating clearly with staff and supervisors.
