Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a government location, where you will monitor entry points, verify access, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post. You will support a professional environment through strong communication, customer service, and teamwork, while bringing integrity, reliability, and a people-first approach to each shift.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
COLA DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required.
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, and document visitor, employee, and delivery access in accordance with post orders and facility protocols.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels and completing required reports.
Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned buildings, controlled areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual activity.
Support daily operations by communicating clearly with site personnel, enforcing rules related to restricted access, and reporting maintenance, life-related, and other security-related concerns.
