Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A COLA DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required.
  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and authorized personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, check identification and/or credentials, and document visitor activity to help support authorized access throughout the location.
  • Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Assist with controlling access to restricted areas, directing foot traffic, and helping to deter unauthorized entry while maintaining a professional presence and clear communication.
