About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Checkpoint in Mont Belvieu, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, support routine patrols, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, and entry and exit screening at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor gates, badge systems, visitor logs, and delivery activity to help control site access, report irregularities, and support security-related procedures for restricted and high-traffic areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying the appropriate personnel and documenting security-related events according to site policy.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, fenced perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help identify unauthorized activity and report maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Support emergency response activities by following post orders, communicating with site contacts and/or first responders, and helping direct people during evacuations, shelter-in-place events, and other critical situations.
