About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Checkpoint in Mont Belvieu, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, support routine patrols, and provide professional customer service and communication. This is a driving post. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first while helping to support a secure environment with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential verification, and entry and exit screening at a chemical and petrochemical location.
Monitor gates, badge systems, visitor logs, and delivery activity to help control site access, report irregularities, and support security-related procedures for restricted and high-traffic areas.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying the appropriate personnel and documenting security-related events according to site policy.
Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, fenced perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help identify unauthorized activity and report maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
Support emergency response activities by following post orders, communicating with site contacts and/or first responders, and helping direct people during evacuations, shelter-in-place events, and other critical situations.
