As a Security Officer DoD Patrol with Active Clearance in Roy, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a defense-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized activity and/or conditions needing attention.
  • Monitor access points and verify badges, credentials, and/or visitor authorizations in accordance with site protocols for restricted and controlled areas.
  • Support security-related operations by communicating with site personnel, following post orders, and assisting with evacuations, facility notifications, and other location procedures as needed.
