As a Security Officer - Document Screening in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring access points, screening personnel and visitors, and reporting security-related concerns. Your visible presence and customer service skills will help deter incidents while supporting smooth operations. Requirements

  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with site procedures.
  • Inspect packages, shipments, and personal items as directed by site policy, and report prohibited or suspicious items to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, access points, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.
