Job Description As a Security Officer - Distribution Screener Weekdays in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with screening of personnel, packages, and/or vehicles entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items from entering the premises.
  • Provide excellent customer service by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor and control access points, verifying credentials and/or identification as required by site guidelines.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or unusual activities according to site procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific protocols.
