Job Description As a Security Officer - Government Screener in Kahului, HI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment within a government court location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances, conducting x-ray screenings, and managing access control, all while delivering exceptional customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR or first aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with screening individuals entering the location to help to deter prohibited items from being brought inside.
Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or law enforcement as needed.
Document and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents according to site protocols.
Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and/or site leadership.
