Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Monitor radios, phones, alarms, cameras, and/or other communication systems, and dispatch appropriate personnel in response to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Document routine activity, incidents, and communications in dispatch logs and reports, and relay accurate information to site personnel, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Coordinate access-related questions, badge issues, visitor inquiries, and/or after-hours calls in accordance with post orders and site protocols.
  • Support regular and random patrol operations by maintaining communication with assigned personnel, tracking status updates, and helping to deter unauthorized activity around the business and perimeter.
